I’m not against 21st Century technological innovations. I might be old, but I’m not one of those stogy old coots who yells, “I miss the good ol’ days!” These are the good old days – as Carly Simon once sang, and I embrace new technology – including new cooking technology. After all, this is The Outdoor Cooking Show, isn’t it? So, today we’re going to talk about a 21st Century cooking innovation that many of you have already embraced, but I’m more than a little ashamed to admit I have not: Pellet grills. We were inspired to do this topic by my old radio buddy Fred Olson. Fred was our last guest on the show last week (as he frequently is), and his last comment was something like, “Next week, I tell ya about my new pellet grill,” and that gave us a “light bulb moment” here on The Outdoor Cooking Show – why not do a entire episode on pellet grills, so that’s exactly what we’re gonna do, today.
